About

Hi, I’m Anderson Ryle.

I am an engineer by trade, and I’m in love with all things noir. My first exposure to the genre was when I was about ten years old, and I watched The Maltese Falcon for the very first time. After that, I was hooked. Over the past years I have fallen in love with the detectives, criminals, and femme fatales of various noir books and films. In 2015, while working on a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, I penned my very first noir short story, The Back Doors of Fancy Places. I hope to continue to write more noir detective books in the coming years. The purpose of this website is both to connect with potential readers who might enjoy my stories, and to allow for the discussion of various noir topics, as well as the genre as a whole.
